Meet your Coach

Hey! I’m Coach Suniyah, I'm 42 and I'm passionate about helping you transform your life by building strength, resilience, and confidence through strength training and personal development. My mission is simple: to guide you in overcoming mental and physical barriers, empowering you to embrace your worth, and live a life filled with purpose, health, and happiness as you age.

My journey began in 2011 during some of the hardest times of my life when I struggled with depression and self-doubt, even attempting to jump off a ledge seven times. Growing up, I was stuck in negative thinking that led to habits like quitting and procrastination. This mindset followed me into adulthood, causing anxiety, low self-esteem, and derailing my fitness goals.

In 2018 I made a choice to step away from the ledge for the 7th time and get the help I needed to overcome life's obstacles. Therapy saved my life and helped me grow.

In 2021, I set a goal to workout (Jan-Dec) without allowing depression to defeat me and I hired a trainer who pushed me beyond my limits. I did it!!! I made it through that year and that's when therapy and strength training became my tools for building resilience and confidence—mentally and physically. I learned that if I could lift heavy weights, I could also conquer my fears and the challenging obstacles life throws at me.

I realized setting goals and achieving them builds mental health. This realization led me to become a certified fitness and life coach, helping others not just look strong, but feel strong.

At Release The Dope Fitness, we mix empathy, empowerment, setting goals and fun workouts like circuits and HIIT to build strength and mental health in a safe, supportive community.

I’m here to help you reclaim your life, both physically and mentally. Let’s lift these weights together and unleash the Dope in you!
